Granada House- Boston’s 3-stage Structured Sober Living for Men

Sober Living Requirements

Granada House, located steps away from the center of Lexington, spans 4 levels with almost 8000 square feet of living space. All client guest rooms at Tharros are equipped with queen sized Serta Presidential Euro-top premium mattresses and high thread count linens. A sober living home creates fellowship and community that can help you get back to a life where you are happy and fulfilled.

Our Team

Teras offers a less structured, but still supportive model of high standards sober living. ​When you arrive at the house, you will undergo an initial discussion and orientation with the Program Director, including a dialogue on the past events that led you here. Together, we will start discussing what you want to achieve by engaging the support at Tharros. There are general rules of the house that everyone is required to follow. However, experience has shown us, not every person with an addiction or alcoholism is the same.

Program Director

Learning to live a happy life free of alcohol and drugs takes time,  but you can do it if you want to. The ability to spend 6 months to a year in a supportive environment https://rehabliving.net/ allows you to learn more about yourself and your addiction. Our support program will afford you support while you mend relationships with family and friends.

If you have many outside commitments, or are ready to return to work, Teras can be a good entry point directly from treatment. For others, after 1-6 months at Tharros, clients may choose to transition to Teras. Teras offers a shared (double) space for $5,500 per month. Clinical resources are discussed on an individual basis and every referral is done in the best interest of the individual client. On my first night of teaching cooking, in the Tharros kitchen, a home for recovering addicts, one of the guys blurted out “Are you gonna be comfortable working with 8 addicts?

”…My quick retort was “Yes, I am very much at home in a kitchen… Nick is a person in long term recovery through the program of Alcoholics Anonymous. He has maintained sobriety since March 5th, 2015, and is very active through the Young People in AA Fellowship. Nick grew up in Arlington, Massachusetts where he attended Arlington High School, playing varsity D1 Hockey and Lacrosse. Nick earned a place on the First Team All Stars in both Junior and Senior years for Lacrosse. Early on in recovery, Nick began reconnecting with his passions of playing Hockey, and enjoying the outdoors.

Dr. Zarnegar brings a wealth of intuitive and insightful knowledge rooted from a quarter century of clinical experience.Dr. Zarengar received a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, from California School of Professional Psychology and a Psy.D. In psychoanalysis, from the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis. She has a Master’s Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Loma Linda University and has been a licensed M.F.T since 1988. Teras House is a different residence from Granada House, but it’s also located in Lexington MA.

At Granada House, we combine a sober community with aftercare, assisting our clients as they acquire new skills to meet life’s challenges in a fresh and encouraging way. Our mission is to help our clients achieve long-term recovery, move on from feelings of shame, and learn how to live a fulfilled life. Our sober living home reinforces honesty and integrity as we provide support along the journey to cultivating a new, constructive and optimistic sober lifestyle. With more than 50 years of recovery experience, our team understands what you’re going through and we want to help you love life again. Not all sober living homes are the same and in fact beyond the differences in “amenities”, there are many other important factors to consider.

I don’t want them to be tense with feelings of pressure to do it the “right” way or feel shame if they do it “wrong”. I want to leave room for creativity and mistakes and self acceptance because these are all part of life. With no judgement we can feel safe to explore and emerge; we get a chance to see ourselves in a new light. Longtime consultant and salesperson for in-coming conferences to Boston, Donna has developed teams at Historic Museums and Venues, John F. Kennedy Library, Brandeis University, and many venerable and start-up businesses. Melissa provides Granada House with evidence-based intervention strategies, including empirically supported practices for substance use disorder (SUD).

Granada House has a great number of resources and we can refer you to therapists, programs, and licensed professionals as needed. Perhaps you have a connection with a therapist or life coach that you want to continue. We encourage you to keep what works and add resources where it will benefit your recovery. There are no referral fees and our vetted licensed professionals accept a variety of insurances. We have the sole goal of connecting you with the providers who will help you the most -­ Period.

At Teras, our experienced team, plus ancillary providers, provide a high level of support for clients to take action in a recovery fellowship, and engage outside structure. Tharros offers significantly more than Granada House Review a traditional sober living. We fit in between what you’d find at a clinical extended care program and very supportive recovery home. Each individual is supported to make his own choices in his recovery.

This less structured residence is designed to support clients when they have 25+ hours of work or other outside structure weekly, which can be developed with assistance from our team, in the first 30 days. Some treatment facilities provide care for 30, 60 or 90+ days. If you’ve completed a program like this, you’re probably feeling very good about your recovery, as you should. At Granada House, we want to help you achieve your life goals and long­-term sobriety with the tools and foundation you’ve already acquired.
